Develop Budget Plan. Remember, when creating or developing a school budget plan, the inclusion of school stakeholders is needed so the plan is reflective of all members of the school community as well as involving a process of shared decision making. The question becomes who to include and why to include them in the process of creating or modifying a school budget plan. The school administrator in charge of leading the budget planning process is the person answering this question. Assume the role of the school administrator for this discussion as you address the four areas below.

Initial Post ā€“ Read Chapter 4 of our text to inform your initial effort in developing the Campus Budget Plan Proposal. In your initial post:

  • Ā Describe the stakeholders who need to be considered in a campus budget plan proposal. Provide a substantial argument for why you would include or exclude key people from your stakeholdersā€™ list.

  • Ā Evaluate the special interests each of the stakeholders might express.

  • Ā Evaluate how the lead administrator in the budget process might communicate and collaborate with the


  • Ā Explain what is needed to ensure that shared decision making is used to finalize the budget plan.

    Guided Response - Respond to at least two peers. In your replies, consider asking questions of your peers about their responses to encourage further conversation. Additionally, compare your responses to those of your peers. Summarize how your list of key people similar to or different from the lists your peers shared. Provide feedback regarding their justification for including or excluding key people from the list of stakeholders.

    Though two replies is the basic expectation, for deeper engagement and learning, you are encouraged to provide responses to any comments or questions others have given to you, including the instructor before the last day of the learning week. This will further the conversation and provide you with opportunities to demonstrate your content expertise, critical thinking, and real world experiences with this topic.Ā
